In 1972, Merced Bake House opened its doors for business at its present main store along EDSA near the corner of Quezon Avenue. The brainchild of its founder, Dr. Mila Sevilla, Merced Bakehouse was initially a business/hobby for the doctor of medicine who had a flourishing drugstore business by then. The doctor had such a sweet tooth that she decided to open her very own bakery!

Specializing in customized cakes for those special events in our lives, Merced continues to serve its loyal clientele with quality cakes at reasonable prices. Our company aims to maintain high quality standards for all our baked goods and to give our customers a variety of choices in our product line-up. This starts from choosing quality ingredients and working with the top food industry suppliers. We make no shortcuts to quality and have used the same recipes that we had in 1972 up to present time.
